Periodic Training

Periodic training for current LGV and PCV licence holders. Holders of Bus (PCV) licence categories: D1, D1+E, D, D+E and holders of Truck (LGV) licence categories: C1, C1+E, C, C+E, current bus and truck drivers will need to do 5 days of training every 5 years in order to renew their driver qualification card DQC. Our CPC courses are covering the following topics:                          *Health & Safety in the Transport Industry                                                                     *Drivers Hours, Records & WTD + Safety of loads                                                       *Emergency Aid + Customer Care in the Transport Industry                           *Vehicle Checks + Digital Tachograph          *Manual Handling + Fuel Saving Tips Defensive

Initial Driver CPC

PCV Drivers, if you have already got a Category D1 or D on your driving licence before 10th September 2008 that allows you to drive for “Hire or Reward” then you will already have this qualification under “Grandfathers Rights”, however you will still need to do your periodic training. But if you have got your Category D1 or D, DE after 10th September 2008, then you will need to take an exam for Module 2 and Module 4 in order to get your DQC (Driver Qualification Card or CPC) LGV Drivers, if you have already got a Category C1 or C on your driving licence before 10th September 2009 that allows you to drive for “Hire or Reward” then you will already have this qualification under “Grandfathers Rights”, however you will still need to do your periodic training. But if you have got your Category C1 or C, CE after 10th September 2009, then you will need to take an exam for Module 2 (more details on DVSA’S website here) and Module 4 (more details on DVSA’S website here) in order to get your DQC (Driver Qualification Card or Driver CPC).
